= IRAS 18593+1538 R.A.=19 01 38.62 Decl.=+15 43 06.6 (25 x 5", p.a. =78) flux(12)=0.67 flux(25)=0.59 flux(60)=<0.40 flux(100)=<3.83 99% variable Digitized Sky Survey GIF image (15 x 15 arcmin) Discovery InformationIt was detected by the PIXY system as one of the candidates of new variable stars from images taken by Ken-ichi Kadota, Ageo City, Saitama, Japan, then confirmed by Seiichi Yoshida. NSV11661 is 103 arcsec from this object, but they will be different. Special NotesTaichi Kato identified with NSV 11661. We reported MisV0134 as one of the new variable stars because it is 103 arcsec from NSV 11661. However, Kato revealed that the MisV0134 was marked as NSV 11661 (S9039 in the original paper) on the Hoffmeister's discovery chart. So the cataloged R.A. and Decl. of NSV 11661 was very erroneous. Kato also pointed out that it is in the transition between a red variable star and a planetary nebula based on the IRAS data. Research and Publication
