V523 Aur = MisV0002 is a W UMa-type eclipsing variableMarch 28, 2003Nakajima, K.; Yoshida, S.; Kadota, K. Kazuhiro Nakajima revealed that V523 Aur = MisV0002 is a W UMa-type eclipsing variable with unfiltered CCD brightness variations between 13.7 - 14.7 mag, and period of 0.3303555 days. V523 Aur, R.A. 07h24m03s.56, Decl. +41o26'02".0 (J2000.0), is a new variable star discovered in the course of the MISAO Project from Ken-ichi Kadota's unfiltered CCD images in 1998 December. V523 Aur on Kadota's images Nakajima observed it on Mar. 18, 19, 20 and 26 in 2003 with 0.25-m Schmidt-Cassegrain and CV-04 CCD. Here is the light curve of V523 Aur from total 654 observations. Comparison star is TYC2-2965.0148.1, R.A. 07h23m19s.5, Decl. +41o22'22" (2000.0), 11.43 mag(V). The figure suggests that it is a W UMa-type eclipsing variable with unfiltered CCD brightness variations between 13.7 - 14.7 mag Here is the list of five minima observed on the four days. The period is derived as 0.3303555 days from these five minima.
Here is the light curve of V523 Aur. The phases on the figure were calculated by the ephemeris:
