    Frequently Asked Questions

o How to save the settings?

After configuring parameters in the dialogs, such as dates, locations, view setting, etc., the setting can be saved with a unique name. Once you saved the setting with a name, you do not need to configure parameters in the dialogs next time.

In order to save the setting, please select "Setting" - "Save Setting" menu and open "Save Setting" dialog.

Please input the name, push the "OK" button, and the setting is saved.

After saving the setting, the name is displayed under the "Menu" - "Load Setting" menu. Please select one of the displayed names, and a new window opens with parameters in the dialogs configured as saved.

At most 10 settings can be saved. If a setting becomes old and not used, please select the name in the "Save Setting" dialog and push the "Delete" button. Then the setting is deleted.

o How to classify imported magnitude data from a file into another group?

When you read files downloaded from Internet and add comets or magnitude data to the database, you may want to classify them into another group.

In order to do so, please create an empty group in advance.

For example, when you read a MPC format file and add comets to the database, please select "Database" - "Comets" menu and open "Database" dialog. Then push "Set" button and open "Set Group" dialog. Then push "New" button and create a new group. Here do not select any data to "Data Included into the Group" list box.

Next, please select "Database" - "Import Comets" - "MPC Format (Comet)" menu and read a file. Then "Select Groups" dialog appears.

Here please select the empty group you created before to the "Groups to Belong to" list box. Then only the comets read from the file are classified into this group.
