2004 Dec. 11 (13 comets + 2 asteroids)
I observed 13 comets and 2 peculiar asteroids visually on Dec. 11 in
Kita-karuizawa, Gunma, Japan.
about 12.3 mag Dia. 1.8' DC 2 (40.0-cm reflector 144x)
Very faint and diffused. Inaccureate because overlapping
on a 13.70-mag star.
14.0 mag Dia. 0.7' DC 3 (40.0-cm reflector 144x)
Faint and small.
11.5 mag Dia. 1.5' DC 4 (40.0-cm reflector 144x)
Bright, but not condensed so strongly.
10.9 mag Dia. 2.0' DC 7 (40.0-cm reflector 75x)
Getting fainter a bit, but still strongly condensed, wide
and bright.
4.3 mag Dia. 20' DC 7 (naked eye)
4.8 mag Dia. 17' DC 6 (10x70 monocular)
Easily visible, looking nebulous, with the naked eye.
13.4 mag Dia. 0.9' DC 3 (40.0-cm reflector 144x)
Bright in outburst.
13.0 mag Dia. 1.6' DC 1 (40.0-cm reflector 144x)
Very wide and completely diffused. Probably a remnant of very
old outburst. But clearly visible with a large telescope.
12.8 mag Dia. 1.3' DC 5 (40.0-cm reflector 144x)
Moderately condensed. Near by a bright star.
11.8 mag Dia. 2.4' DC 2 (40.0-cm reflector 144x)
Very wide and diffused. Much brighter than November, and easy to
see with a large telescope.
fainter than 13.5 mag Dia. 1.0' (40.0-cm reflector 144x)
Not visible yet.
11.2 mag Dia. 1.9' DC 7 (40.0-cm reflector 75x)
Getting fainter a bit, but still strongly condensed.
fainter than 13.6 mag Dia. 1.2' (40.0-cm reflector 144x)
Not visible yet.
fainter than 14.5 mag (40.0-cm reflector 144x)
Already too faint to see. They say it looks stellar, so I
estimated the limiting magnitude of stars in focus.
14.2 mag DC 9 (40.0-cm reflector 144x)
Getting faint.
14.4 mag DC 9 (40.0-cm reflector 144x)
Maybe brighter than the ephemeris.
